About Elsie (in Foster)
Dogs – Meet & Greet
Cats – Unknown
Kids – Yes, 8+
Elsie may be a senior dog, but don't let her age fool you-she's got plenty of life and love left to give! She arrived at HSHC severely underweight and in rough shape, but with good food, care, and love, she's thriving and ready to find a family who will cherish her golden years.
This sweet girl is smart, well-behaved, and completely potty trained. She knows sit and shake, patiently waits for her food, and will even relax quietly while you eat (with just one gentle reminder). She's not a barker, except for a few minutes when you leave-just to let you know she'll miss you.
Elsie loves belly rubs, cuddles, and exploring the backyard. She may be mature, but she's still agile and curious, happily sniffing around and taking in the world. And for a special treat? A few bites of pineapple make her day! ??
She'll do best in a home with kids 8 and up who understand how to be gentle with a senior pup. If you're looking for a loving, well-mannered, and easygoing companion, Elsie is ready to meet you!

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
