About Cody

Dogs – Yes, has a rough & rowdy playstyle
Cats – TBD
Kids – Would thrive in a home with adults who can provide gentle guidance
Cody is a playful, affectionate young dog who is ready for his second chance. He's crate trained, housebroken with routine, and knows how to settle when it's time to relax. He's lived peacefully with another high-energy dog and enjoys rowdy play with the right match. He also knows "sit" and is used to a consistent routine at home.
Cody has a big heart and is oh so loyal to his people. Once he feels comfortable with you, he's all in and will stick by your side like your number one fan. He can get excited when his people come home, but he's learning how to greet calmly and takes direction well. He is smart, food-motivated, and benefits from a patient and steady approach.
He can be unsure around new people in the home, so he is looking for an adult household that will give him time to warm up and introduce visitors slowly. Outside the home, he's done great meeting people on walks and enjoys exploring with his trusted humans.
Cody is not a dog who gives his trust to just anyone, but once he gives it to you, it means everything. Come meet Cody. He's ready to leave the shelter behind and finally land where he belongs.

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
