Topaz is a gem of a dog-sweet, cuddly, and ready to find his forever home! This handsome boy originally came to us from a crowded shelter, and after a brief adoption, he's back with us due to his owner's health.
A bit shy at first, Topaz takes a little time to warm up to new people. He might bark and back away initially, but with patience and kindness, he quickly blossoms into a loving companion. Once you've earned his trust, you'll discover his favorite role-your ultimate cuddle buddy!
Topaz is:
– Housebroken and well-mannered in the home
– Crate trained and happy to settle down after a little adjustment
– Easy to train, eager to learn, and motivated to please

Topaz has done well living with a 13-year-old and meeting dogs of all shapes and sizes, even enjoying trips to the dog park. He's met younger children too, and while he's initially cautious (with a few barks), he warms up with time and supervision. He's also met his owner's brother's dog, and they loved playing together.
Topaz would do best in a home where he can take his time adjusting to new faces and environments. If you're looking for a loyal and snuggly companion who'll adore you as much as you adore him, Topaz could be the perfect match!

Adoption Fees & Benefits:
Under 1 year: $200
1-4 years: $100
5-9 years: $55
10+ years: $35
Fees include: Heartworm test (age appropriate), vaccinations, flea/tick preventative, complimentary bag of food, wellness exam, and rabies vaccine.
Important Notice: A "meet and greet" with any existing dogs in your home is required, supervised by our team in our play areas. We encourage bringing your family and current pets, especially if traveling from afar.
Adoption Hours: Open daily at 12 PM, except Wednesdays. No appointment needed!

Adoption Hours: Daily 12-5PM, closed Wednesdays. No appointment needed, unless the dog or cat is in foster! Apply and then call us at 317-773-4974 to set up a meet and greet with an pet in foster care.

*The non-refundable hold fee is $40.

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
