About Khaleesi (in Foster)

The first time the interviewer lady (IL) wrote my story, I was only 1-year-old. I had been surrendered to HSHC in March 2016 and was adopted December 11, 2016. I lived with my family for eight years before being surrendered again this November. She called me "Quiet Khaleesi," a shy little girl. Significant changes in my first home are likely the reason big changes in my second home caused me to react to my fears. My second family was told I should be the only pet in the house, but they adopted two more cats. A new baby came to my home, and this reminded me of how much I disliked the baby coming into my first home. Now, I am close to 10-years-old, still a shy and timid girl, and confused about being back at the HSHC. My occasional litterbox avoidances are the only way I can express my discomfort with life. I am a healthy cat with no physical reason to have accidents. I need a home that feels safe to me. Children, strangers, and loud noises do not make me feel safe! Trust is crucial in my relationship with you. Once I am comfortable and trust you, I am affectionate and sweet-natured. If you have a quiet lifestyle and would enjoy some company, I would like to go home with you. The IL does not want to have to write my story a third time! 12-10-24

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
