Description Merlin (in Foster)
Merlin
Boy, do I wish I were a wizard like my namesake! I'd conjure up a wonderful permanent home! My first owner surrendered me to the HSHC when I was a year old. My second owner adopted me right away. I lived with her for ten years until she surrendered me on March 18, '25, due to allergies in the family. She really loved me and hated to give me to the shelter. She said I successfully use my litterbox, and I've lived with cats and dogs, but never any children. I enjoy being with cats and small to medium-sized dogs. I am mostly black, with a bit of white on my chest. Personality? You betcha! I am easy-going, laid-back, and friendly. I like to be held, especially with my head on your shoulder! My favorite pastime is climbing on cat trees, cabinets, or anywhere in the air! It's fun looking down on my owners. I'm a curious boy, and I love to observe the world around me. Another favorite activity is sitting in a bay window or near a sliding door, watching birds, squirrels, people, or anything else moving. When I checked into the HSHC, the medical staff found that I had an upper respiratory infection, and I could use a dental appointment. It took me a while, but I left Sick Bay and soon moved in with my foster mom (FM). As far as I know, my foster placement has been going well. If you want to meet me, please call the HSHC to schedule an appointment.
I'll be glad to pencil you in! 4-16-25

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?

You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
