HOW and WHAT to
donate to the Humane Society for Hamilton County
The Humane Society for Hamilton County uses a multitude
of supplies throughout the day and year. We are in constant
need of items, but in an effort to NOT be wasteful, we ask
that you follow the guidelines below.
If you are with an
organization….and you are interested in
providing a donation or community service to the Humane
Society for Hamilton County, we ask that you contact our
Community Outreach Coordinator Mandy Maxwell at 317-219-4630
for the current program guidelines. We can provide a
customized list of items or services that your organization
can help obtain for us.
If you are an individual….and you’d like to
donate a few items to help us, please use the list below as
a guideline. You are welcome to bring your individual
donation to our office at any time.
All donors are provided with proper documentation for tax
purposes. We thank you for considering us!
Daily Supplies

is preferred)

Diet Brand Foods in our Shelter – Dog, Cat,
Puppy, and Kitten Food

families in need
- Cat Litter (Non Clumping & Non Scented)
- Bath Towels
- Blankets
- Comforters (ideally, we like them cut down and sewn
into smaller pieces for bedding)
- Folding Crates (New or Very Gently Used, Folding
style only) Specific sizes needed are 36” and 42”
- KONG brand of dog toys – Small, Medium, and Large
- Peanut Butter to fill the Kongs
- Assorted small cat toys
- Assorted cat treats
- Catnip
Veterinary/Medical Supplies
- Medical Gloves (Small, Medium and Large)
- Cotton Balls
- Q-Tips
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Heating Pads
Office Supplies
- Copy Paper--White
- Lamination Sheets
- 8X10 plexiglass displays--portrait and landscape
Gift Cards or Certificates
- Gas Cards - We transport animals everyday to
local vets, please help fill our gas tank!
- Staples or Office Depot - We use a lot of
paper and office supplies!
- Pet Supplies Plus, PetSmart & Petco
- Walgreens (we occasionally need medicines to
treat animals in our facility)
Miscellaneous/Other
- Lint rollers
- Paper Cups, Plates, Plastic Silverware for our
break-room
