“Tinsel & Tails Holiday Petacular” Highlights the
Year’s Most Amazing
Pet Adoption and Survivor Stories
Noblesville, Ind., – The Humane Society for
Hamilton County (HSHC) will be hosting its fifth
annual Tinsel & Tails Holiday Petacular on Thursday,
November 18th at Forum Conference Center in Fishers.
Tinsel & Tails is one of Humane Society’s largest
fundraisers of the year. The event highlights the
most touching adoption stories and unforgettable
animal survivor tales of 2010.
Tinsel & Tails is open to the public. It includes a
reception with music by a Carmel Symphony Trio, a
silent auction and dinner followed by a special
presentation featuring KJ & the Jester Kings.
Following the presentation, guests are invited to
meet the cats and dogs who were highlighted in the
presentation.
The funds raised by Tinsel & Tails will help cover
the cost of the thousands of abandoned, unwanted,
injured and sick animals that come to the Humane
Society every year. “Our need has never been
greater,” said Humane Society for Hamilton County
executive director Rebecca Stevens. “We have a
record number of animals in our care right now, many
of whom require life-saving medical treatment. We
currently have a cat named Wesley who arrived with
two broken legs, a dog named Kenzie who is filled
with buck shot including one in her eye, and many
more who are depending on us for the chance each one
deserves.”
Beyond helping with medical costs, the funds are
also used for everything from life-saving
medications and surgeries to vaccinations, heartworm
treatments, food and heat for the facility which
serves as both the animal control facility for
Hamilton County and the Humane Society for Hamilton
County. The organization, which does not euthanize
adoptable or treatable animals for time or space,
receives approximately 35 percent of its funding
from Hamilton County tax payers. The rest is made up
of individual donations, corporate sponsorship,
grants and fundraising events like Tinsel & Tails.
The Humane Society for Hamilton County, which
currently has nearly 600 dogs, puppies, cats, and
kittens in their care, never closes its doors to the
public or Hamilton County animals in need regardless
of space or financial constraints.
Tickets to Tinsel & Tails are available for $75 per
individual, or $600 for a table of eight. To order
tickets or for more information, go to
www.TinselandTails.com, or call Danielle Beck at

County, please go to
