Hamilton Humane Society Names New Director

Noblesville – David Sanders, president of the Board of Directors of the Humane Society for Hamilton County, today announced that Rebecca M. Stevens has been named executive director of the shelter and will officially assume the position on May 1.

According to Sanders, Stevens brings to the position more than 14 years of management experience in the specialized areas of marketing and business operations and will be a great asset in many areas.

“On a personal level Rebecca is highly committed to the cause of animal welfare, but just as important, she is the right person to give the shelter a fresh start as we tackle the many opportunities and challenges that face us,” said Sanders.

According to Stevens, her immediate goals will be to increase fund-raising, work with the county on plans to build a new facility and better utilize community volunteers to help facilitate more adoptions and drive animal education programs.

Stevens most recently served as director of marketing and inside sales for Carmel-based eGIX Inc. a national telecommunications provider. In this capacity, she was responsible for managing all marketing functions and served a key role in the company’s strategic planning efforts for its consumer, business-to-business, and agent/distributor channels. She has played a pivotal role in re-inventing the eGIX brand as well as the development and execution of the company’s go-to-market strategy for all products and services. Stevens also served as a key player in assisting eGIX raise capital for network expansion and new product development.

Prior to eGIX, Stevens served as franchise marketing manager with H&R Block, overseeing marketing functions for more than 900 central U.S. franchise offices and helped launch Nextel Communications in Indiana as its marketing and inside sales manager for the state of Indiana.

She holds her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Indiana State University and was valedictorian of Arlington High School in Indianapolis in 1987. SOFTWARE EXPERTISE &
