Poses With Wet Noses™
Fashion Show
Raises much needed funding for the Humane Society for
Hamilton County
NOBLESVILLE, Ind., Nov. 6,
2006 – The Poses With Wet Noses, La Haute Couture Fashion
Show was held on Thursday, Oct. 26th at the Robert Irsay
Pavilion.
During a French cuisine dinner, guests
were dazzled by European fashions from The French Pharmacie
in Broadripple. They also enjoyed uniquely clad canine
models wearing apparel from Harrods of London. Two of the
canine models from HSHC both found homes as a result of the
event, one with heartworm received a donation to pay for her
treatment.
The Humane Society for Hamilton County
would like to thank Nancy Irsay for her developing, planning
and underwriting this wonderful event. “Nancy is very
passionate about helping the homeless animals of Hamilton
County,” said Rebecca Stevens, executive director for the
HSHC. “Her dedication is inspiring.”
The fashion show raised $8,593 for the
shelter. Special thanks to Stacey Kosene for making the
fashion show concept a reality; the Carmel Fire Department
who escorted models during the show and collected additional
donations during the event, and DL Lowry HairSpa & Boutique
for providing makeup and hair for the models.
“This was the first year for what will
become an annual fundraiser for our organization, so based
on the event’s success, we expect it to be even bigger next
year,” added Stevens.
The mission of the Humane Society for Hamilton County
(HSHC) is to provide a compassionate and healthy environment
for the homeless animals in our care until they can be
placed into permanent, loving homes. The HSHC strives to
promote responsible pet ownership and reduce the suffering
caused by pet overpopulation and animal cruelty by offering
low cost spay/neuter solutions and education.
