Huntington Bank and the Humane Society of Hamilton County
Join Forces Partnership enables HSHC’s “Survivor Program”

Hamilton County’s homeless pets have a loyal friend: Huntington Bank.

A recent partnership between the Humane Society of Hamilton County (HSHC) and Huntington Bank will provide financial support for the Survivor Program which makes emergency medical care possible for the homeless and unwanted animals in the shelter’s care.

“This is a significant and generous gesture on the part of Huntington Bank,” said Rebecca Stevens, executive director of the Humane Society. “Most importantly, the partnership will provide these animals with a second chance at life they may not have had otherwise.”

As the official bank of the Humane Society for Hamilton County, Huntington Bank will feature a photo display of the animals saved by the Survivor Program inside their Hamilton County banking centers. In addition, Huntington Bank will support the HSHC’s fundraising efforts through ticket sales, flyer distribution and acting as host for adoption events at their Hamilton County banking centers.

The first official HSHC on-site Huntington Bank event will be Saturday, July 29 at their downtown Noblesville banking center. Huntington Bank will be hosting Community Day from 9am - 12pm.

Additionally Huntington Bank is now selling tickets for HSHC’s upcoming summer fundraiser "Putt ‘Fore’ The Mutts,” a day of miniature golf, BBQ and silent auctions at Ben & Ari's, August 19th from Noon - 4pm. Tickets are $10 per person with a putt-off for the chance to win $500 with a $25 entry fee.

The mission of the Humane Society for Hamilton County (HSHC) is to provide a compassionate and healthy environment for the homeless animals in our care until they can be placed into permanent, loving homes. The HSHC strives to promote responsible pet ownership and reduce the suffering caused by pet overpopulation and animal cruelty by offering low cost spay/neuter solutions and education.
