The
Humane Society for Hamilton County and
Huntington Bank Partner to Provide
FREE Microchipping to the Community
WESTFIELD, Ind., September 8, 2008– The Humane Society
for Hamilton County and Huntington Bank will host an
adoption and microchipping event at Huntington Bank’s
Westfield location on State Road 32 and Carey Road from
4:30pm to 6pm on Thursday, September 18th.
“One of the most difficult challenges we face is reuniting
lost pets with their owners when they arrive without proper
identification or a microchip,” said Rebecca Stevens,
executive director of the Humane Society. “A microchip is
the best way to ensure a lost pet will find his or her way
home, and it is incredibly generous of Huntington Bank to
offer this service free of charge to the public to help lost
pets do just that.”
Dr. Emily King of All Star Veterinary Clinic will be
microchipping pets free of charge compliments of Huntington
Bank. Featured dogs and cats will be available for adoption
and hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided.
The event is sponsored by Huntington Bank. For more
information or to donate to the welfare of homeless animals,
call the Humane Society for Hamilton County at 317-773-4974
or visit www.hamiltonhumane.com.
The mission of the Humane
Society for Hamilton County (HSHC) is saving lives,
educating communities, and completing families.
