Humane Society for Hamilton County

Presents Third Annual Home For the Holidays Campaign

Noblesville, Ind. – The HSHC is pleased to announce the 3rd Annual Home for the Holidays” 2007 Adoption Campaign currently underway through December 31st.

Home for the Holidays is a program designed to encourage adopters to consider long time shelter residents when selecting a new family pet. Each of our featured pets will come with a complimentary sponsor package. Cats come with a $50 gift card from Pet Supplies Plus and dogs, a $150 training package from Dog Dayz.

If a family can’t adopt, they can sponsor one of the gift packages for a pet on the Home for the Holidays list. The goal of HSHC is to reach 250 adoptions of cats and dogs during this time period. The Home for the Holidays campaign will include several events throughout the holiday season. They are:

December 1 – Silpada Jewelry Sale where 25% of all sale proceeds will be donated to the Humane Society for Hamilton County.

December 15 – 16 - Home For The Holidays Adopt-A-Thon. Adoption hours at HSHC will be Noon to 7 p.m. with refreshments that day. And if you adopt a dog or cat from us this weekend have your new pet’s photo made free with Santa from 1pm – 4pm on both days. Already have a pet? With a $10 you can bring in Spot to have his picture made with the white bearded man in the red suit.

“More families bring pets into their homes during the holidays than at any other time of the year,” said Rebecca Stevens, executive director of HSHC. “What better gift could any of us give during the holiday season than a home to an orphaned animal.”

Prospective parents can learn more about the pets by visiting the HSHC website at www.hamiltonhumane.com.

The mission of the Humane Society for Hamilton County (HSHC) is to provide a compassionate and healthy environment for the homeless animals in our care until they can be placed into permanent, loving homes. The HSHC strives to promote responsible pet ownership and reduce the suffering caused by pet overpopulation and animal cruelty by offering low cost spay/neuter solutions and education.
