The Humane Society for
Hamilton County and Feral Bureau
of Indiana Combine Reward Funds
--Fund now up to $1,500--
Noblesville, Ind., August 6, 2008– The Feral Bureau of
Indiana and the Humane Society for Hamilton County have
joined together to help find those responsible for the
brutal killings of four cats in Cicero. Each established a
reward fund that will be paid to the individual who provides
the Cicero Police Department with information leading to the
arrest and conviction of those responsible for this horrific
crime. After another $500 donation was received today, the
combined amount in the reward fund is now up to $1,500.
“Our hope is that by working together, the reward fund
will encourage someone to come forward with information
regarding those responsible for killing these innocent
animals,” said Rebecca Stevens, executive director of the
Humane Society. “Violence toward animals often escalates to
violence toward humans, so it is critical we find the person
or persons who did this and not only bring them to justice,
but get them counseling.”
Those interested in making a donation to the reward fund
should contact the Humane Society for Hamilton County at
317-773-4974 or email
hamiltonhumane@yahoo.com. Anyone with information
regarding the killings of these Cicero family pets should
contact the Cicero Police Department at 317-773-1282.
