The
Humane Society of the United
States Adds $2,500 to Reward Fund
--To
find those responsible for brutally killing 4 Cicero family
pets--
Noblesville, Ind., August 11, 2008– The Humane Society of
the United States announced today they would add $2,500 to
the existing $1,500 reward fund established by the Feral
Bureau of Indiana and the Humane Society for Hamilton County
in an effort to find those responsible for the brutal
killings of four cats in Cicero. Now, a total of $4,000 will
be paid to the individual providing information that leads
to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who
tortured and killed 4 family pet in Cicero.
“Our hope is that by working together, the reward fund
will encourage someone to come forward with information
regarding those responsible for killing these innocent
animals,” said Rebecca Stevens, executive director of the
Humane Society. “Violence toward animals often escalates to
violence toward humans, so it is critical we find the person
or persons who did this and not only bring them to justice,
but get them counseling.”
Those interested in making a donation to the reward fund
should contact the Humane Society for Hamilton County at
317-773-4974 or email hamiltonhumane@yahoo.com. Anyone with
information regarding the killings of these Cicero family
pets should contact the Cicero Police Department at
317-773-1282.
