    Our Story

    The Humane Society for Hamilton County (HSHC) is a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) charitable organization and one of the only open-admission, truly no-kill shelter in the country.  We serve as both the animal control facility and Humane Society for Hamilton County.

    At the Humane Society for Hamilton County, caring for animals isn’t just a job – it’s our passion. The impact we make is life-changing for the animals in our care and the people who love them.

Applicant Guidelines

Age

You must be 18 years of age or older.

Transportation

You must have reliable transportation to and from the shelter.

Drug Tested

Medical staff only must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Fit for Duty

You must be able to work around cats and dogs (allergies should be controlled) and able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs (if required for your job).
